Glasswool consists almost entirely of glass. Over 70% of the basic material in Ecophon sound absorbers consist of recovered household glass and recycled glasswool. The remaining parts are normally produced from glass that is made from raw materials such as sand and sodium. Glasswool production waste can be recycled by a unique method called the Oxymelt process.
