This solution with a ceiling frieze creates a smooth, continuous transition with all walls, a ceiling frieze that connects directly with the wall without any visible wall trim.
The ceiling area nearest the wall is the most significant in terms of room acoustics; this is where absorbing materials are most efficient. This surface can now be made smooth and built against the wall at a razor-sharp angle.
If the walls are not true, curved or plumb, this can be resolved using the "customised" frieze. The frieze is scribed on site, and can be cut to widths of anything from 100 to 550 mm. Once in place, the frieze is not demountable like the rest of the ceiling is.
It is easy to make neat recesses in the fitted frieze for any exposed conduits, interior linings or pipes attached to the wall. This solution is ideal for renovation work.
