Here, the lower ceiling plane is treated as a floating unit, totally clear of the walls. For acoustical reasons we recommend the upper level of the acoustic ceiling to connect against the wall.
Such a floating element can be placed in a room to emphasise and encourage concentration, in conjunction with furnishing, lighting and the way in which the room is used.
A floating element can cover almost the whole room in one large area, but it can of course also be divided into several smaller, floating elements at different heights. If they are angled, they can act as excellent light reflectors and create visual interest.
